Goal

Redesign the website giving it a fun look with easy navigation and can be easily updated.

Background

Ma Fischer's has been a Milwaukee Eastside restaurant for more than 60 years. If you live in Milwaukee, visited the nightlife of the Eastside - chances are you’ve been a customer. Ma’s recently had a new logo designed and wanted a website design based on the logo style. They also wanted to include their menu and social media links, giving people the ability to review them from the site. A "nice to have" would be to also have the food images updated.

Solution

A red/green/tan palette and font choices were based on the in-house menu, tying the website to the brick & mortar. The use of white space and 2-column menu layout helped readability. Stylized icons in the nav and the footer lunch counter tied well to the new logo design, helping to reinforce a "diner" feel. I also shot and edited new food images for the site.

To make updates and management easy the site was built on WordPress and is responsive on multiple devices.

Some new features to the site included:
- Social media integration
- WordPress news feed.
- Downloadable PDF Menu
